I woke up this morning having received an email from the U.K. with samples of my forthcoming clothing line & designs. Yes, many of you may not know but I did my degree in fashion and spent more than a decade working for the world's foremost name's in men's fashion.
Starting at one of the most reputed names in what is the finest in men's bespoke tailoring based on the infamous Savile Row, London - GIEVES & HAWKES. All over the world, Savile Row stands for the very best in men's tailoring and so it is fitting that Gieves & Hawkes should be 'No. 1 Savile Row' - a remarkable address.
The company was formed from two famous businesses: Gieves, founded in 1785 and Hawkes, founded in 1771. Today Gieves & Hawkes, as the purveyor of quintessential English style, dress individuals who are interested in the rules and references of tradition but who desire to present these in a visually exciting and contemporary way - in their own way. Confident in what they wear, they appreciate luxury and are most interested, ultimately, in style. They provide the very best using the highest quality materials, whether a T-shirt or a bespoke suit.
I worked hard and was promoted to Assistant Manager of their store in Chester, hence what brought me to where I am now based in the U.K. After 5 years with them I went on to manage the clothing department of another world renown brand, HARLEY DAVIDSON! (A man must follow his fetish ;-)
I was then head hunted by a former Gieves & Hawkes director who had set up his own bespoke men's 'made to measure' shirt company, GROSVENOR, and asked to setup, launch and run their main out of London store in Manchester. The idea is for clients to choose from a vast range of colours and finest fabrics and then within weeks you get a shirt made to your exact measurements.
I then spent a few years in the business sector of managing finance with another world reputed company before I made the decision to head off and work for myself. I have always kept my hand in fashion, having created, designed and made numerous pieces ranging from suits to even wedding dresses as a side line.
So herewith a few samples of what you can expect under the 'Dillon Buck' design with my men's shirt range coming later in the year under a new label .... enjoy.

The airport must have heard of my arrival and kindly welcomed me by displaying the Union Jack ;-) Was a nice touch to see upon arrival.
